OK Gunn is Kate Gunn— a designer and maker from London, UK. After training at Brighton University she spent 13 years working as a graphic designer. She took the leap into full time ceramics at the start of the pandemic.
Her work explores the relationship between the physical body and its impact on our mental health. She hand builds using slab and coil techniques using white stoneware clay and experimenting with different combinations of oxides, underglazes and glazes.
The Power Pose collection was designed as a symbol of strength and courage, customers have bought it as a gift for those going through divorce, cancer treatment and bereavement and they are her most popular pieces. Everything she creates is designed as a reminder that our emotions are our greatest strength. It is recommended to hand wash all pieces with hot soapy water.
